Adding Something Extra to Your Holiday Season Operations

As you may be aware, we are rapidly approaching the holiday season. As 2016 flies by (wait, it's September??) and you are reviewing your forecast for the end of the year rush, we wanted to give you a few ideas on how to delight your customers through supply chain value added services. Christmas-Elves-with-Box.png

When you are putting together your holiday logistics plan, here are a few ways to add customers and strengthen your customer base at this busy time.

Social Media – Put together a solid marketing/PR plan for the holiday season beginning in August/September. Utilize Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIN to push more eyes to your web shop and products.

Promotions – Holiday promotions are a quick way to add to your advertising budget and have proven to be successful. Send coupons and holiday offers out to customers. Add free shipping days throughout the holiday season. Bundle best selling product with slow sellers. All of these are great options to increase sales over peak season.

Marketing Materials – Along with a marketing plan, develop blogs and email blasts to send out to customers, and potential customers, before the holiday season. This will increase brand awareness as holiday shopping begins. Pay-per-click (PPC) online advertising can target regional and local shoppers whether through Google or social media sites and is a cost-effective solution.

Packaging – Offering holiday gift wrapping or packaging is one way to delight customers with holiday labels, stickers or tape. These value-added services can be handled by your fulfillment provider and easily added to your online web shop.
